Twelve Unlikely Heroes: Book Review

Twelve Unlikely Heroes:

How God Commissioned Unexpected People in the Bible and What He Wants to Do with You

By John MacArthur
Twelve Unlikely Heroes by John MacArthur provides short biography of 12 biblical characters: Enoch, Joseph, Miriam (Moses' sister), Gideon and Samson, Jonathan, Jonah, Esther, John the Baptist, James the brother of Jesus, and Mark and Onesimus.

Each character sketch is given and the lessons we learn is summarized. Though these twelve are called heroes, the Real Hero is God as the author rightly mentions.

It is easy and quick read. But also each character sketch acts as an start to conduct a in depth study.
Each character had their own flaws but ultimately were used by God to fulfill His purposes.
A good book overall.

(I’ve received this complimentary book from Thomas Nelson Publishing House through the Book Sneeze program in exchange for a review. A positive review was not required and the views expressed in my review are strictly my own.)
